3 Days Southern Tanzania – Mikumi & Udzungwa Mountains

Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or residence in Dares Salaam. Enjoy a scenic drive through changing landscapes as the bustling city gives way

Arrive at Mikumi National Park, part of the greater Selous ecosystem, known for its abundant wildlife and wide-open plains reminiscent of the Serengeti.
After a warm welcome and a freshly prepared hot lunch at Vuma Hills Tented Camp, head out for your first thrilling game drive. Keep your eyes open for elephants, giraffes, zebras,
wildebeest, buffalo, and predators such as lions and leopards.

As the sun sets over the savannah, return to camp for dinner and relax under the African night sky.

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive—one of the best times to witness wildlife at its most active. The golden morning light offers incredible photography opportunities and
unforgettable sightings.

After breakfast, depart for Udzungwa Mountains National Park, a biodiversity hotspot often referred to as the “Galápagos of Africa.”

With packed lunchboxes, begin a guided hike through dense tropical forest. This is a completely different safari experience—on foot, immersed in nature. Your guide will
introduce you to unique plants, birds, and primates, including the endemic Udzungwa Red Colobus and the rare Sanje Crested Mangabey.

The highlight of the day is reaching the stunning waterfalls, where you can swim in the cool, crystal-clear natural pool surrounded by lush greenery.

In the late afternoon, return to Hondo Hondo Forest Camp, a peaceful Eco-camp set at the edge of the forest with breathtaking canopy views.
